Intermediate Level Hikes

Have you been on easy hikes and feel ready to try something a bit harder?

Perhaps you are working out regularly in other ways and think the challenge of an intermediate hike sounds more your speed.

Are you visiting Colorado, but hike at home?

Intermediate level hikes might be for you if any of these statements resonate with you!

Intermediate Level Hikes typically average 3 - 6 miles and 600 - 1000 feet of elevation gain on trails rated  as easy to intermediate hikes.

We aim to be moving for an entire hour with only a few breaks. These hikes will challenge you to pace yourself based on the length and challenge of the terrain, which we will break down and discuss before the start of each hike.

Are you looking for a challenge on the trail?

Have you been hiking for a while and looking to increase your skill.

Would it be easier to get outside if you knew you were doing it with a kick butt group of people?

Advanced level hikes might be right for you if any of these statements resonate with you!

Advanced Level Hikes

Advanced Level Hikes can average anywhere from 3 - 9 miles and 600 - 1200+ feet of elevation gain on trails rated as intermediate to difficult hikes.

We aim to be moving for an entire hour to three hours with only a few breaks. These hikes will challenge you to pace yourself based on the length and challenge of the terrain, and to push through discomfort, both physical and mental.

Trail Running

Trail running is a fun way to challenge yourself outdoors. Interestingly, trail running is a great way to prevent over-use injuries while running because each step is different and works different muscles and skills compared to the identical steps of running on paved trails/roads. There are still risks of injury, of course, which is why it is helpful to learn the skills of trail running and practice them regularly to keep them in tip top shape.

If you are interested in pushing your limits, seeing more trail in less time, or just working up a sweat in a beautiful location, join us for a trail run!

Trail Runs with GeesE can range from a mile to several miles. We typically keep our weekly runs to an hour or less.

Beginner Trail Runs will be shorter runs focusing on one or two trail running techniques at a time. This is a great place to start.

Intermediate Trail Runs can either be longer distances on easy terrain, or shorter distances on more technical terrain. It is encouraged that you are hiking intermediate or advanced trails somewhat regularly and can run at least a mile on flat ground to feel successful on these runs.

Specialty Hikes

Below are hikes that only happen occasionally. They are for specific dates or occasions and can usually only be signed up for once. Check out the dates and locations to see what fits into your schedule and make sure to check back regularly as we will change and add to these regularly!

The price of these hikes varies by what is included. Pricing will be listed with each individual hike as well as members' discounted rates. Pre-registration is required to join as space is limited for each hike.
